The Sunetics Laser is state-of-the-art, and treatment is simpler than you might think. How does LLLT work?
The Sunetics Laser uses 107 laser diodes that output low-level laser therapy to the scalp, which in turn opens up the vascular network in the scalp, increasing blood flow and promoting overall health in the cells. This, in turn, enables proteins and nutrients to be delivered up to the hair follicle site. Studies show that in 95% of patients hair loss is halted and of these patients 100% will see noticeably fuller, thicker, shinier, and healthier hair. 85% of patients will see hair regrowth within 3-5 months.

Who can be treated?
The Sunetics Laser can work on males or females and on any race or skin colour. As long as there are living follicles in the area to be treated, the laser can be effective in stabilizing and rejuvenating the hair. To ensure that LLLT is right for you, we will schedule a consultation with Dr. Killick before treatment begins.

How many treatments will I need?
Currently, Eve Aesthetics offers two packages: one lasting six months, the other, a year. We recommend the one-year package, as this program will yield the best results. Over the course of the year, most patients will receive an average of 44 treatments. Most commonly, patients come in twice a week for the first eight weeks, once a week for the second, then twice a month for the remainder of the year. Each treatment lasts 20-30 minutes. Upon completing the 44-treatment course, patients return monthly or bi-monthly for maintenance treatments. At your initial consultation, Dr. Killick will help determine the best course of treatment for you.

Is it safe? Are there any side effects?
The energy produced by the photons of the diode lasers used in LLLT is low; they do not emit enough heat to harm either you or the operator. The red light of the Sunetics Laser actually stimulates the body to repair and heal itself – in fact, it is often used to treat serious wounds. There are no reported side effects. During treatment you will not feel much; at most, patients may notice a mild tingling or warming sensation, which goes away within 10 minutes of completing the treatment.

When will I see results?
Most patients will see full stabilization of hair loss within 3 months and hair regrowth can be seen as early as 6 months.

Can patients use anything else in combination to increase results?
Yes. At the initial consultation, Dr. Killick may prescribe oral or topical medication. Treatment specific shampoo and conditioner and the use of a laser hairbrush, all available for purchase in our office, will also enhance your results
